
Alejandro Sweet Cordero
Principle Investigator
Alejandro Sweet-Cordero M.D. is the Chief of Pediatric Oncology, and the Director of the Molecular Oncology Initiative at UCSF. Sweet-Cordero earned his medical degree at UCSF, where he also completed a residency in pediatrics. He then completed a fellowship in pediatric oncology at the Dana-Farber/Boston Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Center, followed by a postdoc in cancer biology at MIT under the direction of Dr. Tyler Jacks. He is a Benioff Endowed Professor of Child Health and is a member of both the American Society of Clinical Investigation and the American Association of Physicians. He is active in several graduate programs at UCSF and is a member of the MSTP council.
